Yes, any creative work you do (including an OHRRPGCE game) is automatically protected by copyright. Enforcement of your copyright is your own responsibility. Copyright for an OHRRPGCE game is not any different than any other creative work.
Also, remember that each different country has their own copyright law, so if you are publishing your game in a country other than the USA, take the time to check how copyright laws might be different.
