[edit] OHRRPGCE Side Scrolling Games
This is a possibly complete list of every OHR side scroller ever released.
Side scrollers on the OHR tend to be based on the code of one another. So for interest, 'Lineage' indicates whether a game was based on a previous one. In many cases this was determined by comparing or decompiling the scripts. SS101 refers to the SideScrollers 101 series of articles (see bottom of this page), which was itself seemingly based on the code to Scary Game 3.

[edit] Making a Side Scrolling Game
Coding a sidescroller is definitely not a simple task. Luckily, there are two excellent example side scrollers which are intended to be used to build games on top of:
- Sidescrollers 101, a series of articles in HamsterSpeak on creating your own sidescroller. Includes scripts, an example game, and a detailed step-by-step explanation of the design of all the code -- excellent whether you want to script your side scroller from scratch, or build on the provided scripts. Has several features, but still lacks some things such as projectiles.
- Baby Bob the Hamster has very extensively commented scripts. It includes little else besides jumping, gravity, and walls, but it is bug free and well designed, and very simple.
